It is with great sadness to hear that former Crook Town and Bishop Auckland stalwart Jack Foster has passed away. A veteran of 222 games for the club, 123 of those consecutively which is a club record. He also gave sterling service to Bishop Auckland.
Jackie first played on the Millfield when he was thirteen years old playing in a Cup Final for Witton Park School, playing with and against fifteen year olds. He was a small but robust, strong as an ox young man and was cheered from the field by all present.
Everyone at the club would like to offer their condolences to the family at this sad time.
