The Lads travel to Redcar Athletic this Saturday – supporters travelling to the game should be aware of some road closures in the area due to an Athletics Road Race
Redcar Athletic have suggested two alternative routes to get to the ground on Green Lane
IMPORTANT TRAFFIC NEWS β REDCAR ROAD CLOSURE
The Coast Road in Redcar is closed to all traffic on Saturday until 5.30pm due to Athletics Road Races taking place on it and diversions are in place.
Because of the closure of the Coast Road Redcar Athletic recommend the following route/s
VIA A66 – Turn left onto A1085 Trunk Road and at the end of this road (just past Redcar Fire Station on your right) ensure that you are in the right-hand lane to go straight ahead at the traffic lights.
You are now on Corporation Road, carry on until you reach a roundabout and go straight on. You are now on Thrush Road.
Carry on down Thrush Road at the end of the road is a “Stop” sign and the railway level crossing should be on your left. At this junction you need to turn RIGHT.
You are now on Redcar Lane (A1040). Carry on down this road past Redcar Racecourse and Cemetery on your right and take the 7th road entrance on your LEFT by the Premier Store.
You are now on Borough Road. Carry on down Borough Road which ends past the railway bridge. Take the road straight ahead and at the end of it and turn RIGHT.
You are now on Oak Road. Carry on down Oak Road until you come to a roundabout and take the 2nd road.
You are now on Green Lane β home of Redcar Athletic on the left hand side

Via A19/A174 you need to turn RIGHT off the roundabout at the Chemical works entrance and continue along this dual carriageway until you see the 2nd roundabout and then take the exit for Redcar on the LEFT.
Within yards there is another roundabout and you should take the 2nd exit/straight on.
You should now be on Redcar Lane, carry on this road, straight on at the roundabout, take the 2nd road on your RIGHT after passing Ryehills Academy (at the Premier store).
You are now on Borough Road. Carry on down Borough Road which ends past the railway bridge. Take the road straight ahead and at the end of it and turn RIGHT.
You are now on Oak Road. Carry on down Oak Road until you come to a roundabout and take the 2nd road.
You are now on Green Lane β home of Redcar Athletic on the left hand side
