Crook climb to 6th after a good week on the road

Travelling Black and Amber supporters were rewarded for their trips out with two great results last week that saw Crook Town voted Division two Performance of the week on the Northern league poll

On Tuesday night a strong second half performance saw the Lads win 4-1 at Chester le Street, with goals from Smiler Johnston, Tom Gavin, Dane Eltringham and Bisto Holliday.

Smiler thought he had scored the goal of the night until Tom Gavin struck an inch perfect free kick into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area

The Lads then followed that result up with a fight back against Esh Winning on Friday night – trailing 2-0 in the second half, first a bullet of a half volley from Anthony Verity, then a outrageous strike from next to the Home team dug-out by Bisto Holliday to sail over Esh’s back peddling keeper – with the win coming from Chris Dunwell at the back of the box in the 88th minute!
