The club were privileged to welcome the family of Billy Hodgson to the recent Redcar game to mark the unveiling of a memorial plaque in Billy’s memory.

Billy was a lifelong Crook Town supporter who sadly passed away in March, he was a popular figure at the Millfield and liked to stand beside the tunnel to enjoy watching the game and the craic in the company of his fellow Black and Amber friends.
Billy’s sons Dave & Ray wanted to remember their Dad’s strong bond with the club and the club were pleased to help with their suggestion to place a memorial plaque in Billy’s favourite spot where he can continue to watch the lads run out in Black and Amber.

It’s the strong community bonds and lifelong links that make the North East’s Non-League clubs such a part of peoples lives and vice-versa and the Club are proud to remember Billy Hodgson, Crook Town Supporter, at the Millfield.
